Going to take a picture just like this with my own wagon, when me and mine take engagement photos this weekend.

*ETA: I already asked her to marry me back in august, these photos are the formal fall shoot nonsense that’s all the rage on pinterest.... so I am told. I’m happy lol, she can do what ever she wants.

I dunno what it is about engagement photos that bugs me so much. Something about the effort that goes into staging them? I had a photographer at my wedding but I proposed in a hotel on vacation. Like how important is it to capture the exact moment when your soon-to-be fiancee realizes you’re popping the question? Dude in that picture picked the right color for his car but should be doing more squats and lunges at the gym. Pansy ass millenials and their damned contrived documenting and staging of life events with professional photographers. Get off my lawn.

LMAO. The photo shoot were doing is not the actual engagement, I did that in August, outside our favorite breakfast place: (both knees cause I’m top heavy, and I wanted to be prepared to beg)

The pictures we’re taking are the ones for the save the dates, event website etc. To be honest this isn’t my department, I’m just going along with what ever she wants.

This picture was captured by a professional, I can tell by the pixels!

Our photographer asked if we wanted to do engagement photos, and both of us felt like since we got engaged in Puerto Rico, it’d be kinda silly to take “engagement” photos in Wisconsin.

so here’s the scoop: it’s so your photographer gets to know you better as a couple to take better wedding shots, helps you get more comfortable posing for pictures, and so you can send out save the dates with pictures if you’re so inclined. Our photographer is a friend of my fiance’s and included engagement photos in our screaming deal of a package, so we did them, but because I suck at this bride thing, I didn’t make a cutesy banner with the wedding date or even get the cars in the shot.
